As Chief Development Officer, Laurie Frappier coordinates the fundraising efforts of the organization including major gifts, events management, marketing, communications, volunteer coordination, and social media. She holds her BA from the College of St. Scholastica (Duluth, MN) and her MA from the University of Dayton (Dayton, OH). Ms. Frappier has held leadership positions with other nonprofits such as YMCA of Central New Mexico, New Mexico Senior Olympics, and Leadership New Mexico. She is especially proud to serve as a director for SHC since 2015, an organization that uses the evidence-based approach to ending homelessness, Housing First. She represents SHC at the Albuquerque Affordable Housing Coalition, the New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness member meetings, and is a board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
She loves her adopted state and spends much of her free time hiking, exploring, enjoying her east mountain home, and playing tennis. Ms. Frappier is active in USTA of Northern New Mexico with a team that has won several district championships and competed in Nationals for the 2017 Spring 18+ league representing the Southwest region.
