Charles Joslin joined SHC in 2020 as our Director of Housing Development & Asset Management. With 20 years of land development experience, his passion is creating new housing opportunities for people with various backgrounds. Charles has extensive experience in single and multi-family development, commercial development, project management, land use planning, and large-scale master plans. He has dedicated his time in New Mexico to the much-needed development of affordable housing while creating partnerships with local government, financial institutions, neighborhood associations, non-profit organizations, and community leaders. Charles holds a Master’s Degree in Community & Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico.
Born and raised in small town Illinois, and the son of a coal miner, Charles knows the powerful connection of community. He considers being active in the community very important and exemplifies this by volunteering with a variety of local organizations. Charles appreciates the rich culture and history of New Mexico and loves the sunshine and beautiful New Mexico weather. He spends his free time exploring New Mexico, camping, hiking, traveling, enjoying St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and working in the yard.
