Alicia joined Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico in 2011, now serving as a Senior Property Manager. Born in Berkeley, CA, raised in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, then moving to Los Angeles during her senior year made her understand different cultures and life styles. She is an advocate and fighter for immigrant rights and, as a bilingual speaker, loves to help Spanish speaking people feel confident and not afraid to rent a safe and decent place. When Alicia moved to Albuquerque, she started working in property management and now has over 20 years of experience in Tax Credit and HUD-811 properties. She believes on SHC’s mission and she is a strong believer that everyone should have a place to call HOME. She is always willing to help in any possible way.
Alicia is very proud of her heritage and loves speaking Spanish. She loves cooking Mexican food for her children and enjoys hosting them for dinner. Alicia also enjoys the sunsets, but nothing compares to a full moon sitting over the Manzanos.
